Vision, Mission, and Beliefs

School Mission

Earhart High School is a continuation high school that emphasizes dropout prevention. The school provides a program of instruction that leads to a high school diploma through a variety of alternative and various instructional strategies that include:

  • Utilization of the multiple approaches to instruction and assessment through individual learning plans and whole group instruction.
  • Academic performance standards and instruction that addresses the California State Standards.
  • A caring staff and support personnel who addresses issues confronting young adults.
  • Counseling, career and vocational guidance services that form an integral part of the program.
  • Flexible schedules, and work-experience, and independent study options.

School Vision

The primary aim of the school is to help students complete credits and graduate from high school. In this process the school strives to provide students with an educational and learning experience that engages and inspires students to seek knowledge, self discovery and learning; promotes learning through reading, critical thinking, and problem solving; teaches basic life skills, appropriate and responsible behavior, kindness, compassion and empathy for others; and that provides basic literacy and math skills to enter college and / or the workforce.
